Jason Collier Brierfield paedophile sex offender

Jason Collier, the Brierfield Paedophile sexual predator who sought to meet a 13-year-old girl he encountered on an online dating platform has been incarcerated. In June 2022, Jason Collier, 31, was ensnared by a bunch of paedophile hunters while he assumed he was conversing with a teenager.

Preston Crown Court was informed that Jason Collier intended to travel from his residence in Brierfield to meet the girl at Potters’ Bar. He explicitly informed her that he was “too old for her” in a series of communications.

The predator, Jason Collier, has been sentenced to 45 months in prison after it was revealed that he promised to reserve a hotel for sexual encounters with the ‘teenager’. He has been ostracised by family and friends following the revelation of his reprehensible online conduct.

The court was informed that Jason Collier, residing on Union Street, corresponded with a profile on a dating website. Upon transitioning to WhatsApp, the individual he was conversing with claimed to be only 13, despite her dating profile indicating she was 18. Collier informed the girl, “You are significantly too young for me.” However, he did not conclude the chat.

From March to July 2022, Jason Collier spoke with the girl, requesting a meeting and soliciting images from her. He stated that the images need not be explicit, although Recorder Michael Maher, during sentencing, remarked: “You acknowledged from the beginning that she was 13 years old.”

“You candidly acknowledged that you were too old for her in that text message. Just after 24 hours of first texting her you suggested meeting her – a subject you returned to over the next 12 weeks. Why did you want to meet her? Self evidently, because you regarded her as sexually attractive.

“You were, in effect, sexually grooming her, seeking to gain her trust and asking for pictures of her. You were prepared to drive three to four hours south to Potters’ Bar, where you believed she lived, where you would engage in sexual activity in a hotel as you planned.

“You have effectively been excommunicated and you say you are ashamed of what you have done. I have to set that against your re sentence report in which you say you have no sexual interest in children. You present a risk of danger to the public and in my judgement only immediate custody is appropriate in this case.”

He jailed Jason Collier for 45 weeks.
