Perry Allen McCarthy, a paedophile resident of Penarth, has received a 21-year prison sentence for 18 child sexual crimes perpetrated over a four-year duration.
The 65-year-old, Perry Allen McCarthy, received a sentence at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday, May 2.
Detective Constable Joanna Cecerko of South Wales Police stated:
“I want to commend the victim for her courage in coming forward – thanks to her report and support from her family, justice has been served.
“It has been a traumatic time for everyone involved and I am hopeful the outcome at court brings the victim and her family some comfort which they deserve.”
Perry Allen McCarthy had denied the offences but was found guilty of 18 offences including:
- 6 counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity
- 4 counts of voyeurism
- 3 counts of oral rape of a child
- 1 count of engaging in sexual activity with a child
- 1 count of digital penetration
- 1 count of sexual assault by touching
Perry Allen McCarthy was told at court that he must serve a minimum of 14 years before being considered for parole.
