A “cold and calculated” Bradford Paedophile sex offender, Abdullah Khalid Mhana, who masqueraded as a teenage boy on social media to groom and exploit an 11-year-old girl, has been sentenced to over ten years in prison.

Abdullah Khalid Mhana, 26, misrepresented his age on applications and incited minors to partake in sexual activities with him.

Abdullah Khalid Mhana, residing at Hirst Lodge Court, Bradford, confessed to 17 charges, encompassing rape, sexual assault, and the creation of obscene photos of a minor.

On Monday, Abdullah Khalid Mhana was sentenced to ten and a half years in prison at Bradford Crown Court.

Abdullah Khalid Mhana commenced grooming the 11-year-old in 2020 and convened a year later at a park in Bradford, where he coerced her into performing a sexual act.

The court was informed that Abdullah Khalid Mhana recorded some of the crimes on his cell phone.

The item was later confiscated and analysed by law enforcement in 2022 during their investigation of his association with another minor.

Notwithstanding receiving an official admonition to avoid the second kid, Abdullah Khalid Mhana persisted in engaging in sexual relations with the first complainant after her thirteenth birthday.

Notwithstanding receiving an official admonition to refrain from approaching the second kid, Abdullah Khalid Mhana persisted in engaging in sexual relations with the first complainant after she reached the age of 13.

In sentencing him, Recorder Andrew Dallas stated that Abdullah Khalid Mhana had perpetrated acts of significant severity.

“This was in my judgement cold, calculating behaviour in which you deliberately sought out the sexual favours of someone who you knew to be 11 years of age.”

He said when the girl tried to break off contact with the defendant he had “wormed” his way back into her affections.

The court heard that Abdullah Khalid Mhana later persuaded the girl to go “just for a drive” in his car, but he then had sex with her in the vehicle.

The judge highlighted the fact that the formal warning Abdullah Khalid Mhana received from the police in the summer of 2022 should have been a wake-up call for him, but he had been undeterred and continued his abuse of the child.

Recorder Dallas said he was not satisfied that Abdullah Khalid Mhana had expressed genuine remorse for his offending or that he had proper empathy for the victims.

Abdullah Khalid Mhana will now have to serve at least two-thirds of his prison sentence and he will then be subject to an extended licence period of two-and-a-half years.

He will also have to register as a sex offender with the police for the rest of his life.
