A guy, Abiola Raji Stafford Paedophile, has received a 10-year sentence after confessing to the rape of a lady in Stafford. Abiola Raji, 32, of Stafford, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Thursday, January 23, after pleading guilty at a prior hearing to the rape of a lady.
On Sunday, April 21, at approximately 8 PM, a woman was strolling near the Vine Hotel on Salters Street when she was confronted and assaulted by Raji.
We conducted immediate enquiries to locate him and assist the survivor as soon as it was reported later that evening.
An call for information was issued, and CCTV footage from the incident was reviewed, resulting in Abiola Raji’s arrest on May 1 of the same year.
Officers diligently collected all relevant evidence to prosecute Abiola Raji, who ultimately entered a guilty plea to the offence.
Abiola Raji was sentenced to six years and eight months imprisonment, with an extended license period of thee years and four months. He was also put on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

“I’d also like to recognise the tremendous bravery of the survivor to come forward and say what happened to her.
“Through her courage and the work of officers, we’ve been able to put a dangerous sex offender behind bars.”
