A married Teesside Paedophile mother, Aimee Jones, was incarcerated back in 2022 for inappropriately touching a female teenage student has been informed that she would never be permitted to teach again.
Aimee Jones, 35, was discovered engaging in a sexual connection by her husband, a social worker, who then contacted the police.
Aimee Jones, a mother of one, was sentenced to eight months in prison in November for participating in sexual activities with a minor aged between 13 and 17.
Aimee Jones was placed on the sex offenders register and has now been permanently prohibited from teaching.
A panel addressing teacher misconduct “determined that public confidence in the profession could be significantly undermined if conduct similar to that of Mrs. Aimee Jones was not addressed with the highest level of seriousness.”
The panel determined that the concerns of public interest superseded the interests of Mrs. Aimee Jones.
“The grave nature of Mrs. Aimee Jones’ offences, which included sexual activity, sexual communication with a minor, and an inappropriate relationship with a minor, were pivotal in shaping that opinion.”
Teesside Crown Court was informed that Aimee Jones, the head of mathematics and science at her school, approached the girl when she was only 15 years old last year.
They thereafter engaged in kissing and physical touching beneath a blanket in Jones’ vehicle.
Aimee Jones then embarked on a relationship with the teenage girl that lasted 15 months until her husband found out and raised the alarm.
At first she made up a female teaching assistant with whom she claimed she was having an affair – and even asked the school to say that the staff member existed if he called up to check.
But her social worker husband eventually found out about the teenage woman. Ms Aimee Jones was then taken off the school premises by police, and fired.
The couple agreed to stay together for the sake of their son, aged four. [WOW, LUCKY KID?!]
The abrupt end to the relationship was “like a bereavement” for the teenage girl, her mother said in a victim statement.
She added that her daughter “has no doubt they were in love and would have preferred the relationship to continue.
“She is now fully aware it is something that should not have happened in the first place.
“At best [Aimee Jones] was foolish but at worst she preyed on the fact our daughter was vulnerable from the very outset.”
