Akash Sondhi infiltrated over 600 Snapchat accounts to coerce females into transmitting “intimate images”.
The 27-year-old extorted his victims by threatening to disclose existing pornographic photographs to their acquaintances and relatives.
Akash Sondhi focused on 573 individuals aged 16 to 25, including seven victims from Merseyside, from 2015 to 2020.
His victims encompassed girls and women throughout the UK and internationally, including Australia, Hong Kong, and Romania.
On March 19, 2020, law enforcement conducted a raid on the residence of Akash Sondhi in Hedingham Road, Chafford Hundred, Greys, Essex.
Akash Sondhi confessed to a total of 65 offences, including hacking, blackmail, and voyeurism.
He was incarcerated for eleven years.
