A Hanley Paedophile, Akhtar Gul Rhamani has been incarcerated after pleading guilty to child sexual offences. Akhtar Gul Rhamani, 52, of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced to three years and two months’ imprisonment at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Tuesday, June 10, after pleading guilty to the sexual assault of a minor at a prior hearing.
Akhtar Gul Rhamani was apprehended in October 2023 after to the offence being reported to us.
Akhtar Gul Rhamani received an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and was placed on the Sex Offenders Register as part of his sentencing.
Detective Chief Inspector Shelley Burns said: “I would like to praise the bravery of the survivor in coming forward and telling a trusted adult what had happened to them.
“We are committed to addressing all forms of abuse against children and strongl encourage anyone who suspects that a child is being sexually abused, or has been a victim themselves, to come forward.”
