The evil acts were only found after the 47-year-old, Alan Starling, raped the little lad, who was 13 years old.
Coulsdon Paedophile Alan Starling was imprisoned for nine-and-a-half years.
At Croydon Crown Court on February 13, 2019, the paedophile admitted guilt to twelve counts of child sexual abuse.
The court heard that Alan Starling groomed the lad over an extended period and befriended the victim’s parents many years ago.
Police were alerted on Saturday, July 27, 2018, regarding text messages discovered on the youngster’s spare family phone. The messages implied Alan Starling had been sexually mistreating the lad.
The victim said police had been warned not to inform anyone Alan Starling had conducted sex attacks on him.
Arrested on the same day, Alan Starling provided a written statement refuting the claims and did not comment during the interview. Later on, he was charged with rape.
