An Edinburgh man, Alexanda Laverock Tollcross Paedophile, has been prohibited from contacting minors after he was apprehended for transmitting obscene photos of his genitals to someone he assumed to be a teenage schoolgirl.

Alexanda Laverock transmitted inappropriate sexual communications to a social media account belonging to a 14-year-old named Stacey after initiating contact in October of the previous year.

Alexanda Laverock, 36, enquired whether the girl was attracted to older males, provided her with instructions on masturbation, and transmitted photographs of his erect penis throughout the inappropriate correspondence.

Rather than communicating with a minor, the offender engaged with an adult decoy from the paedophile hunting organisation Scotland’s Child Protection Team Against Sexual Abuse.

On October 31, group members located the shop employee at his residence in the capital and live-streamed the altercation to over 70,000 followers on Facebook.

Alexanda Laverock admitted guilt to transmitting sexual written correspondence and an explicit image to an individual he presumed to be a minor in October of the previous year during his appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month.

On Friday, February 7, he returned to the dock for sentencing, where Sheriff Christopher Dickson stated that he had perpetrated “a very serious offence,” yet refrained from imposing a custodial sentence.

Alexanda Laverock, from the Tollcross section of the city, was registered as a sex offender for 18 months and mandated to complete 150 hours of community service.

The sheriff imposed an 18-month social work monitoring order and mandated a conduct restriction prohibiting Laverock from contacting any individual under the age of 18.

Sheriff Dickson stated that Alexanda Laverock’s name has been submitted to Scottish Ministers for inclusion on the register of individuals considered unfit to work with children and vulnerable persons.

The court previously heard that Alexanda Laverock reached out to the social media account established by the paedophile hunter organisation decoy before transitioning the online conversations to WhatsApp and Snapchat.

He promptly commenced transmitting unsettling sexual remarks and, on one occasion, informed the child that he was doing a solitary sexual act while sharing photographs of his genitalia.

The court was informed that Alexanda Laverock had transmitted instructions to the schoolgirl regarding masturbation, and his disturbing texts included the assertion that “it will feel good.”
