Following her abuser’s, Andrew Blake Conwy Paedophile, incarceration after nearly forty years, a courageous survivor has praised police and criminal system partners.

Starting from when she was just nine years old, Andrew Blake tormented his victim with a series of sexual attacks over the 1980s and 1990s. He was a teenager.

Having been left devastated by the assault all her life, the courageous survivor stood up against her abuser in 2020, now an adult.

The Force’s Safeguarding Department started an inquiry, and Andrew Blake, now 52, visited a police station for an interview when he first acknowledged two cases of sexual assault.

Nevertheless, the inquiry persisted, and in 2022, he was charged with sixteen charges of indecent assault, all of which occurred prior to the Sexual Charges Act’s 2003 introduction.

Andrew Blake kept refuting the accusations, but in February this year, a Newcastle Crown Court jury exposed his lies and found him guilty of all 16 counts unanimously.

Andrew Blake, of Parc Pentywyn, Deganwy, Conwy, Wales, received a three-year term behind bars before the same court on Thursday, May 30.

Andrew Blake will also spend his life on the Sex Offenders’ Register; a lifetime restraining order will cover his victim.
