Back in 2017, two Eastbourne College paedophiles, Andrew Boxer and Graham Jones, were incarcerated following their conviction for sexual offences against a youngster who was a student at Eastbourne College private school in Old Wish Road, Eastbourne, where they both served as teachers some 30 years prior.
The victim was a teenage student at Eastbourne College, and the two Eastbourne College Teachers, Andrew Boxer and Graham Jones, were educators at the institution.
Andrew Boxer, 67, a retired private school teacher from Queen St, Eynsham, Oxfordshire, and Graham Jones, 63, a retired music teacher from Bedford Grove, Eastbourne, were sentenced at Hove Crown Court on Tuesday, April 11, following a seven-day trial.
Andrew Boxer received a cumulative term of 15 years’ jail for seven counts of indecent assault on the kid, six of which occurred at a location in Eastbourne and one at a site in Cambridge during a visit.
He was acquitted of an eighth allegation of indecent assault in Eastbourne.
Graham Jones received a two-year prison sentence for two charges of indecent assault against the same youngster, occurring multiple times at a location in East Sussex and once at a site in Eastbourne.
Andrew Boxer will be designated a lifelong registered sex offender and has been issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that imposes indefinite and stringent limitations on his access to minors.
Graham Jones will be classified as a registered sex offender for a duration of ten years and has been issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that imposes stringent limitations on his access to boys, also effective for 10 years.
Andrew Boxer served as a history teacher, while Graham Jones was a music instructor at the time of the misconduct, at Eastbourne College.
A police inquiry commenced in August 2015 when the victim disclosed these terrible experiences carried out by Andrew Boxer and Graham Jones for the first time, having remained silent for many years.
Upon entering the College, he was individually befriended by Andrew Boxer and Graham Jones, who evidently earned his trust prior to engaging him in activities he subsequently felt unable to report.
Andrew Boxer methodically ‘groomed’ the victim by exploiting the youngster’s acquiescence to ostensibly casual comments and seemingly inadvertent exposure to pornographic videos and his own sexual behaviours, thereby creating a scenario in which the boy felt ensnared.
