Andrew Davies, the Penkhull Paedophile, accused of a series of child sexual offences in the 1970s and 1980s has been found guilty after a trial.

Andrew Davies, 58, from Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent, is currently on trial at Stafford Crown Court after being charged with offences stemming from our investigation.

In 2023, the survivors courageously approached the police to recount their experiences. Our specialised officers from the public protection unit diligently collected all evidence and provided extensive support.

During his interrogation in July 2023, Andrew Davies responded with “no comment” to all enquiries.

After a trial that concluded on Wednesday, July 9, Andrew Davies was found guilty of ten sexual crimes. The jury convicted him on one charge of raping a female under 16, four charges of sexually assaulting a girl, and one charge of inducing a girl to engage in an act of gross indecency. He additionally entered a guilty plea to two charges of enticing a girl to engage in acts of gross indecency and two charges of sexual assault against a girl.

Andrew Davies is scheduled to be sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on 29 September.
