Antanas Jancevskis Boston Rapist

Antanas Jancevskis, a man who unlawfully entered a flat through a window and sexually assaulted a woman he had met only hours prior, has been sentenced to imprisonment.

On 17 April 2022, Antanas Jancevskis and his victim both participated in a BBQ on Leicester’s Glenfield Road.

That evening, she was escorted home by two companions and subsequently fell asleep on her sofa. That night, she awoke to discover 35-year-old Antanas Jancevskis on the sofa with her, where he subsequently assaulted her sexually.

Upon his departure to the loo, she exited her apartment and notified a bystander, who then contacted the police. Antanas Jancevskis was apprehended by law enforcement in the early hours of 18 April.

On 19 February 2025, after a trial at Leicester Crown Court, Antanas Jancevskis of Castle Street, Boston, Lincolnshire, was convicted of one count of rape.

Today (Thursday, March 20), he was sentenced to 15 years in imprisonment and will be registered as a sex offender for life.

Detective Constable James Alcock was the investigating officer. He said: “This is a deeply disturbing case, particularly because he entered her home through a window.

“The victim has shown great bravery as she’s had to re-live her ordeal through a trial.

“I hope the local community can take some reassurance from the fact he’s been convicted of his crime and is now serving a period of imprisonment.”
