Antonio McCreadie, 58, used his victims throughout a 13-year period of sexual assault at several sites in western Scotland and Fife.

Antonio McCreadie, previously residing on North Street, Alexandria, in West Dunbartonshire, had refuted multiple charges in a prior trial but was convicted of four sexual crimes.

Antonio McCreadie commenced targeting his initial victim for inappropriate behaviour when she was between six and eleven years old, and on two occasions between 2001 and 2007, he assaulted the youngster at a residence in West Dunbartonshire.

Antonio McCreadie subsequently engaged in additional indecent conduct towards the child when she was 14 years old at a residence in Kirkcaldy, Fife, from July 2009 to June of the following year.

The abuse occurred on multiple occasions, during which he administered an unidentified chemical to her drinks and compelled her to view pornography.

Antonio McCreadie also engaged in sexual actions with the youngster and documented himself doing portions of the assault. During that time, he also attempted to sexually assault the girl.

He perpetrated multiple assaults and rapes against a second girl from 2011 to 2013 at a residence in Balloch, West Dunbartonshire, after disrobing her lower garments and engaging in a sexual act in her presence.

A judge told Antonio Antonio McCreadie at the High Court in Edinburgh: “You have been convicted of a series of sexual offences over a period of 13 years. All of the offending was very serious.”

Judge Thomas Welsh KC said that in a social work background report prepared on the rapist he claimed that the victims had lied and conspired against him for financial gain.

The judge told him: “The harm you did is horrendous and the psychological impact continues until today and beyond.”

He told Antonio McCreadie: “In passing sentence I take into account your age and the fact you have shown no empathy or remorse for the suffering you have caused.”

The judge said that as a public protection measure he would order that the sex offender be supervised for a further three years following his decade of imprisonment.

Antonio McCreadie was warned that if he breached the terms of his licence during that three year period he could be returned to jail.

Defence counsel Sean Templeton told the court that Antonio McCreadie wanted to move on and lead what he described as “a very quiet life” in future.

Antonio McCreadie was placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely and the court made non harassment orders prohibiting him contacting or attempting to contact victims.
