Barry Worrall Haydock sex offender

Barry Worrall sexually assaulted a woman and thereafter attempted to intimidate the individual to whom she reported the incident.

He entered a room when his victim was asleep and began kissing her, till she awakened and instructed him to cease.

However, when the victim returned to slumber, she awoke once more to discover Worrall, 36, of Gleneagles Drive, Haydock, assaulting her sexually.

Barry Worrall nonchalantly departed after the assault and lit a cigarette.

The woman reported the assault to a female relative, resulting in a police complaint.

The assailant subsequently threatened the woman’s relative, a prosecution witness, by driving by her residence and making menacing statements.

Barry Worrall refuted the allegations of rape but was convicted following a trial. Worrall admitted guilt to witness intimidation just prior to the commencement of the trial.

Barry Worrall, with 40 prior offences, was sentenced to seven years and two months in incarceration.
