In 2011, Brighton Paedophile Bernard Volk was jailed after exploiting three females online before engaging in sexual acts with them.
Bernard Volk, 21, of Queens Road, was sentenced to six years in prison on Monday after a hearing at Hove Crown Court.
Bernard Volk admitted guilt to 17 charges in total, including eight counts of engaging in sexual activity with females aged 14 and 15, one offence of penetrative sexual intercourse, one count of downloading an indecent image of a child, and seven counts of producing indecent images of minors. There will be twelve additional sexual offences that will remain unprosecuted.
Bernard Volk perpetrated his offences in Shoreham, Seaford, and Eastbourne, where he had resided.
Bernard Volk utilised social networking platforms, particularly Facebook, to befriend and manipulate vulnerable young girls prior to orchestrating meetings and subsequently participating in sexual activities with them. The photos were discovered on Bernard Volk’s PCs.
The offences occurred between June 2009 and March of the previous year.
Bernard Volk was apprehended and indicted in January.
Detective Inspector Paul Phelps stated: “Bernard Volk is a predatory paedophile who has received a significant sentence that corresponds to the grave nature of his crimes.”
“He preyed upon susceptible young girls and exploited his extensive expertise in computers to accomplish this.”
“This investigation conducted by Sussex Police was intricate and comprehensive, and we commend the victims for their courage in coming forward.”
