A dangerous Stoke-on-Trent paedophile, Brendan Reid, has been jailed after sending an explicit photo of himself to a ’13-year-old schoolgirl’ who he then blackmailed.
Brendan Reid was under the impression that he was engaging in sexual conversations with a female named Layla.
However, Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court revealed that the 37-year-old was conversing with a police decoy.
Brendan Reid, with 19 prior convictions for 24 offences, admitted guilt to attempted sexual communication with a minor.
Brendan Reid received a 15-month prison term and was placed under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for a duration of 10 years.
