Brian Hoad paedophile rapist child sex offender - Sussex

A guy, Brian Hoad, the Sussex paedophile, who plied a 12-year-old girl with wine and sexually assaulted her has been sentenced to prison.

Brian Hoad, aged 66, initially assaulted the girl during the 1980s and proceeded to engage in frequent acts of sexual assault against her for a further four years, even when other members of the family were present in the residence.

The woman revealed the “abhorrent” and “detestable” abuse years later. Hoad was convicted of four charges of raping a minor under the age of 16 and two charges of sexually assaulting a minor under the age of 16.

Sussex Police received a report of the abuse in June 2021, leading to Brian Hoad’s arrest the next day.

He was later accused and ultimately convicted during the trial of all six charges.

The Sussex Police have commended the victims for their bravery in coming forward and reporting the incident.

Detective Constable Emily Turner stated that Brian Hoad exploited his authority and duty in extremely repulsive manners, depriving his innocent victim of a typical upbringing via his own morally corrupt behaviour.

“His abhorrent offences have had an enduring effect, but due to her courage in speaking up, he will now serve a substantial portion of his remaining life behind bars.

The importance of having the bravery to face her accused, assist in the investigation and prosecution, and contribute to bringing him to justice cannot be emphasised enough. I wish to express my gratitude to her.

“This should serve as an unequivocal signal to other individuals who have experienced harm that there is no time limit to reporting a criminal offence.” To the individuals responsible, be aware that you will never escape the consequences of your actions, and we will exert all our efforts to apprehend you.

Brian Hoad received a prison sentence of 18 years and was also issued an indefinite restraining order to prevent any further contact with his victim.

The rapist will have to spend at least years in prison before he may be released on parole.
