A two-time registered sex offender and Fayette County Pedophile, Brian Roberts, will serve thirty years in jail after pleading guilty to the sexual abuse and exploitation of minors as young as three weeks old.
In February, Brian Roberts, 44, confessed to disseminating child pornography involving infants and toddlers and to the sexual assault of a young kid, as reported by federal authorities. A court sentenced Brian Roberts, from Washington Court House, to 30 years in jail, which is 20 years less than the potential maximum — 30 years for sexual exploitation and 20 years for possession of child pornography.
The punishment concludes an investigation that commenced in 2022 when federal officials began monitoring activities on the dark web related to the sexual exploitation of minors. From November 2022 until August 2023, Brian Roberts sexually exploited an estimated 3-year-old youngster and shared hundreds of images depicting the abuse.
A video depicted over three minutes of Brian Roberts mistreating a child. He subsequently uploaded 195 photographs to the dark web, comprising over 100 that depicted the sexual exploitation of toddlers and newborns as young as three weeks old.
Brian Roberts is now a three-time convicted sexual offender, having previous convictions in Madison and Clark counties. In February, he was issued a warrant in Highland County for telecommunications harassment directed at a family member of the 3-year-old boy due to his purported attempts to communicate with the child.
In 2000, Brian Roberts received a six-month prison term and five years of community supervision. Convicted of soliciting indecencies with a minor in Madison County, he was designated a registered sex offender.
After a decade, Brian Roberts was found guilty of the identical offence and received a five-year prison sentence, registering as a Tier II sex offender.
