On April 26, 2013, Mohammed Imran Amjad was sentenced to four years and three months in prison after admitting to engaging in sexual conduct with a minor and committing three counts of child abduction between 2009 and 2010.
His victim was a 13-year-old girl who was initially abducted and subjected to maltreatment.
Several months later, the predator’s sibling, Furqan Amjad, received a 15-month prison sentence for obstructing justice by inundating his brother’s victim with 350 text messages in an attempt to intimidate her.
In September of that year, Qasim Hussain was sentenced to four years in prison for obstructing justice by attempting to persuade the girl to submit a retraction letter to the courts.
No other members of the Brierfield Grooming Gang were prosecuted.
