Subsequent to a Thames Valley Police investigation, a Birkenhead Paedophile, Cameron-John Brady, has been sentenced for sexual offences against a minor in Banbury.

Cameron-John Brady, 27, of Thornton Street, Birkenhead, was sentenced to four years in prison after a hearing at Oxford Crown Court on Monday, 7 October.

After a five-day trial concluding on 4 June, Cameron-John Brady was unanimously convicted by jury verdict of three charges of child abuse by touching, two counts of child assault by penetration, and one count of causing or persuading a child to observe a sexual act.

Cameron-John Brady was exonerated of two charges of child sexual assault involving penetration.

In the 2000, Cameron-John Brady, who was a minor himself when the offences happened, sexually assaulted and abused a child over a number of years.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Lucy McDonagh, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “The victim in this case has shown incredible strength and resilience to come forward and report the abuse.

“Perpetrators of sexual abuse towards children must be warned that no matter the passage of time, you will be investigated and held accountable.”

“I would like to reassure the public that we will always look to prosecute anyone who commits sexual offences against children, recent or non-recent. You will be supported, no matter what the passage of time, and we will bring offenders to justice.
