An Evansville Pedophile, Carl Olson IV has been sentenced in connection with a child molestation case after court officials reported that he illegally touched a five-year-old child.
Court officials report that Carl Olson IV received a seven-year jail sentence and accepted a plea agreement. Officials state that Olson is required to register as a sex offender and to remit a sexual assault victims’ cost of $750. Authorities state that Olson is prohibited from any interaction with the victim.
A forensic interview done last year with a youngster, as per an affidavit from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, revealed the specific regions on their body that Olson purportedly touched. In an interview with Carl Olson IV, he asserted that a prior allegation had been levied against him about inappropriate contact with the same child; however, he had previously stated that the charges were dismissed.
As previously reported, authorities told Carl Olson IV he had the “opportunity to make this right,” and he eventually explained the details of the alleged inappropriate touching.
Officials say when asked what made him do this, Carl Olson IV says he just made “a stupid decision.”
