A Reading Rapist, Catalin-Petrisor Luca, has been incarcerated subsequent to a rape in Reading. Catalin-Petrisor Luca has been sentenced to six years and eleven months in jail after a hearing at Reading Crown Court on May 22.
Catalin-Petrisor Luca, residing on Chesterman Street, Reading, entered a guilty plea to a single count of rape at the same court on February 3. A 33-year-old man escorted a woman in her twenties down an alleyway adjacent to Garrard Street in October of the previous year.
Catalin-Petrisor Luca led the woman down the alley and subsequently assaulted her. He was subsequently apprehended and indicted on November 3 of the previous year.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Amy Hennah, based at Reading police station, said: “Catalin-Petrisor Luca took advantage of the victim while she was drunk and vulnerable. I am pleased that he will now serve a considerable amount of time in prison.
“Thames Valley Police takes rape and sexual assault offences extremely seriously and will investigate robustly to bring offenders to justice.”
