Top judges have cut the sentence of a “dangerous” Uckfield rapist sex predator, Chiron Hutchinson, who raped two young women, and a child.

“Manipulative, lies, and sex-obsessed”

On October 25 last year, Chiron Hutchinson received 20 years of incarceration in a young offender facility at Maidstone Crown Court.

Chiron Hutchinson was branded a hazard to the public, he was told to serve an extra eight years on license following his release.

Chiron Hutchinson, of The Mount Pleasant, Uckfield, East Sussex, 20-year-old acknowledged two charges of sexual activity with a child.

Mr Justice Kerr told London’s Appeal Court today he was found guilty of three counts of rape but cleared of other sex charges.

Before abusing her, Chiron Hutchinson handed a 14-year-old girl five glasses of Champagne, which made her “feel dizzy.”

People living opposite the Chatham Innovation Centre commend how the police managed demonstrations.

Said the judge, he had intercourse with the adolescent in a park with “borderline consent.”

When she met Chiron Hutchinson at a Tunbridge Wells nightclub, a second victim had taken a “large quantity of alcohol”.

Driving the 17-year-old “very intoxicated” to a forest, he twice raped her.

Walking home alone, a 24-year-old woman who had been “drinking and smoking some cannabis” came upon Chiron Hutchinson.

She enquired where they were heading when she noticed he was not driving her home after he offered her a lift in his car.

He answered nothing, parked the car in a forest, unlocked the door, and shoved her out.

“[An] opportunist who designed circumstances to enable him to take advantage of young females…” Judges:

She tried to fend him off, but before raping her, he informed her he would punch her if she persisted.

Chiron Hutchinson was said in a probation officer’s report to be “highly manipulative” and to have a “sense of entitlement.”

The court locking him down declared he was an “opportunist who engineered situations to enable him to take advantage of young females”.

He “singled out” victims susceptible due to their age, trusting nature or intoxicated state.

Chiron Hutchinson would, after that, “force himself upon them for his sexual gratification.”

Chiron Hutchinson, the Crown Court judge declared, was a “manipulative, deceitful individual, obsessed with sex”.

He had extensively watched pornography and searched using the term “forced sex.”

His “behaviour was predatory”, and he was a “narcissist and a “fantasist; his character had basic faults”.

For Chiron Hutchinson, Michael Haynes claimed his sentence was unfair and that he had been falsely branded as dangerous.

He added, “It was more a case of an ‘opportunistic young man with a lack of understanding of sexual boundaries’ than a ‘dangerous sexual predator’.”

The attorney brought out Chiron Hutchinson’s relative youth, lack of past convictions, and a brief period of offending.

Sitting with two other justices, Mr Justice Kerr declared the Crown Court judge “entitled to make a finding of dangerousness and to impose an extended sentence.”

He said, however, “Grave though the offending was, we agree that the overall sentence was too high given his age, the lack of any previous convictions and the short duration of the offending.”

Permitting the appeal, the court shortened the custody term from twenty to sixteen years and extended the licence time from four to eight years.
