Christopher Hall, a child sex offender in Staffordshire, has been sentenced to nearly twenty years in prison following his conviction for nine offences. Christopher Hall, 60, from Talke, Newcastle-under-Lyme, was convicted at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court in January after a trial on six charges of sexual assault against a girl, two charges of inducing a girl to engage in sexual activity, and one charge of causing a child to view an image of sexual activity.

He received an 18-and-a-half-year prison sentence at the same court on Friday, March 28. He was permanently placed on the Sex Offenders Register and subjected to an indeterminate Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Christopher Hall was prosecuted following an investigation initiated when the survivor courageously reported the incident.

Officers from our Public Protection Unit (PPU) diligently assisted the survivor while meticulously collecting evidence to substantiate charges against Christopher Hall.

Christopher Hall faced nine charges of sexual offences. In light of the compelling evidence and the courage of the survivor, the jury found Hall guilty on all charges after the trial.

Detective Constable Sarah McQuade, from PPU, said: “We’re determined to take robust action against sex offenders in Staffordshire, no matter how recent or long ago the offences might have been.

“I’m pleased that we’ve been able to deliver this result for the survivor and I hope it shows that we’re here to support victims and to act against those responsible for these crimes.”
