A sex offender, Conner Dilkes Arnold Paedophile, convicted of raping a child has been incarcerated. Conner Dilkes, 18 years old, assaulted the girl in July 2023 and was subsequently arrested.
Conner Dilkes underwent multiple interviews and provided contradictory statements.
In his initial interview, he refuted any acquaintance with the girl and asserted that he had never encountered her.
Nonetheless, CCTV and forensic evidence contradicted his claims, leading him to plead guilty to two counts of rape about the incident that occurred in a secluded spot in Daybrook.
Conner Dilkes, residing on Oxclose Lane, Arnold, also confessed to theft, assault by beating, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public area about an unrelated incident from June of the previous year.
He was sentenced to four and a half years in prison at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday.
Conner Dilkes was additionally placed on the sex offenders’ register for life and subjected to a sexual harm prevention order that will severely limit his activities upon release.
The sentencing judge also imposed an indefinite restraining order prohibiting him from contacting his rape victim.
Detective Sergeant Alan Braisby, who conducted the inquiry into the July 2023 assault, stated:
“The victim in this case has suffered considerable distress and I am pleased her attacker has now been brought to justice.
“Rapes and other sexual assaults have a lasting impact on victims, and are among the most serious offences we are tasked with investigating.
“When incidents like this are reported to us we will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of justice – as Conner Dilkes has found out to his cost.
“I am pleased he has now admitted to these appalling offences and is now behind bars.”
