Convicted sex offender Craig King used a fake name during a 12-month relationship to try and hide his past crimes
He told the woman his name was ‘Theo’ and was only caught when police checked his electronic devices during a monitoring visit.
The 43-year-old, Craig King, from Bacup, was given an extended jail sentence more than a decade ago for sexual offences and made subject to the sex offender notification requirements for life.
He was visited by officers in May 2019 and a search of his equipment found he had been using a fake name.
Craig King pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the notification requirements and was given a 12-month community order with 150 hours’ unpaid work.
