The Manchester Paedophile, Dale Pendleton Briers, who sexually assaulted a girl from the age of ten until she was seventeen has been incarcerated.
Dale Pendleton Briers, from Manchester, feigned that it was merely a game and an experiment when he commenced the abuse, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
The 32-year-old, Dale Pendleton Briers, confessed to 19 charges, including child sexual assault and possession of indecent photographs.
Dale Pendleton Briers was sentenced to 12 years in prison at Chester Crown Court.
Prosecutors stated that the victim commenced counselling at the age of 17 when her family recognised her declining mental health, but they were unaware of the underlying cause.
The CPS stated that the treatment equipped her with the means to confront Dale Pendleton Briers, and she confronted him the subsequent time he attempted to abuse her, resulting in the cessation of the abuse.
Subsequently, she obtained additional treatment and was able to disclose the abuse to her family.
Years later, she summoned the confidence to inform the police, according to the CPS.
During his initial interview in 2021, Dale Pendleton Briers refuted the charges, asserting that his accuser fabricated them with the intent to damage his reputation, according to the CPS.
Police examined his mobile phone, which disclosed searches for extreme pornography and child sexual abuse.
He was interviewed again on 22 April 2022 and answered “no comment” to the questions.
He was charged in September and later pleaded guilty to the offences.
Lydia Durkin, of the CPS, said: “Dale Pendleton Briers used his victim almost as some sort of experimental toy for him to do whatever he wanted with.
“What he systematically failed to acknowledge was that his victim was a human being who did not want any of this to happen.
“She has had many years of counselling that has helped her see this as the dreadful destruction of her youth.
“She gained the skills to end what was happening to her and finally told the police and he has been brought to justice for his crimes.”
Det Con Herminder Hira of Cheshire Police praised the victim’s bravery and urged others to come forward “no matter how long ago the abuse took place”.
