A 39-year-old Paedophile from Northwich, Daniel Brinksman, has received a prison sentence of ONLY 25 months after admitting to engaging in sexual contact with a child on three separate occasions.
Daniel Brinksman, who does not have a permanent residence, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court on 29 August after admitting to the offences during his trial.
In addition, he was issued a restraining order prohibiting any communication with the victim, as well as an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Daniel Brinksman encountered his 15-year-old target on Grindr in 2015 when the young lad joined the platform while feeling emotionally vulnerable due to his struggles with his sexual orientation.
They initiated a chat, and Brinksman coerced him into arranging a rendezvous at a park in Northwich on the same day.
Daniel Brinksman perpetrated a sexual attack on the victim, resulting in significant psychological suffering.
DS Helen Harrison, the investigating officer, stated:
“Daniel Brinksman’s actions were abhorrent.” The victim has faced significant challenges in overcoming the repercussions of the assaults, which have had a severe and detrimental effect on his mental well-being.
At the age of 24, after heroically reporting the crime to the police and having the fortitude to endure a trial, he witnessed the imprisonment of his abuser for the heinous acts committed. This outcome has significantly facilitated the victim’s recovery, enabling him to articulate his victim impact statement before the court.
“I aim to inspire individuals who have experienced sexual abuse to report their experiences and provide them with the assurance that we are available to support them. We are committed to actively listening to their stories and ensuring they receive the justice they deserve.”
