Daniel Clift Stoke-on-Trent Paedophile

A Paedophile sex offender, Daniel Clift, disrobed and subsequently assaulted a ‘screaming’ young girl in a Stoke-on-Trent street during a harrowing New Year’s Eve event.

Daniel Clift, with 69 prior convictions for 135 offences, was entirely unclothed when he observed the six-year-old child exiting a vehicle in Fenton.

While the young individual attempted to re-enter the vehicle, 36-year-old Daniel Clift made contact with her head and shoulder, accompanied by a grin and laughter. The police arrived and discovered him still unclothed, conversing with individuals outside a tavern.

He was apprehended and subsequently informed probation that he was under the effect of monkey dust at that time. Daniel Clift has been sentenced to three years in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

Prosecutor Antony Longworth stated that the event occurred at 9:40 PM on December 31 while a mother was escorting her child to a store. The girl exited the vehicle while the mother retrieved her purse from the footwell of the passenger seat.

Mr. Longworth stated, “She observed the defendant unclothed, traversing the street.” She yelled at her daughter to return to the vehicle. The child was positioned beside the front glass of the vehicle.

As she approached the car, with one hand on the door handle, the defendant placed his right hand on the child’s head and slid it down the side of her shoulder. He was observed smirking, smiling, and laughing while doing it.

It was a calculated action. The mother dialled 999. The toddler was distressed and shouting, ‘When can we return home?’ What prompted him to touch me? Is it safe for me to exit the vehicle?

The police arrived at the location. The defendant was discovered unclothed. He was apprehended. He was impaired by substances or booze. His eyes were exceedingly wide, and his pupils were dilated.

Daniel Clift, who has no permanent residence, admitted admission to charges of exposure, violation of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and common assault. The court was informed of his extensive history of convictions for exposure.

Judge Richard McConaghy stated: “On May 5, 2022, you were subjected to a SHPO.” Your interaction with youngsters was limited. On the evening of December 31, you were traversing the street unclothed. You observed a girl who had just exited a vehicle.

Due to your appearance, she was re-entering the vehicle. You made contact with her head and proceeded to her shoulder. You were smiling and laughing while you performed the action.

The police discovered you standing naked outside a pub, conversing with others. The girl was traumatised.

“This marks the 70th occasion you have appeared before a criminal court.” This marks your fourth conviction for an exposure offence.

I believe this constitutes a significant violation of the SHPO. You had contact with a child. You approached the youngster while unclothed, so committing the criminal offence of assault. Your offence is further exacerbated by your prior convictions and the fact that you were under the influence of monkey dust at the time.

The judge assigned Daniel Clift to the sex offenders’ register for a duration of 10 years and imposed a new Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for the equivalent period.
