David Cadman, previously convicted for filming a girl undressing at a beach, was punished for downloading child pornography.
A 65-year-old paedophile, David Cadman, was apprehended for recording a nine-year-old child, who was accompanied by her parents at New Brighton beach, in August of last year.
He was incarcerated for 16 months for violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) about the video from November 2020.
David Cadman returned to court to receive sentencing for possessing a disturbing collection of images, which included 20 photographs depicting the sexual assault of children.
David Cadman, residing on Espin Street, Walton, confessed to three charges of downloading and one charge of possessing indecent pictures of minors.
Although he had not been charged about such photos by the time of his sentencing last year, Judge Anil Murray stated that he had previously considered them.
Judge Murray stated that David Cadman was scheduled for release in two weeks and, having considered the photographs, he “should not impose a sentence that would extend the defendant’s incarceration,” therefore sentencing him to 28 days.
