A 71-year-old individual, David Coupe Belcoo Sex Offender who has been previously convicted of a sexual offence and is currently residing in a remote village in Fermanagh has been accused of violating his Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) after being arrested early in the morning.
David Coupe, a resident of the Belcoo vicinity, located within a distance of fewer than 200 meters from the playground, was apprehended by law enforcement.
According to court filings, David Coupe was purportedly discovered to have internet-enabled devices and cleaning software without the authorisation of his Designated Risk Manager.
The specified action is forbidden according to the provisions of the Order, in violation of Section 113(1)(a) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
On August 7, police searched David Coupe’s residence during the arrest and reportedly confiscated multiple items from the premises.
David Coupe is slated to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court on September 2.
