David Davies, a paedophile from Ashford, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for the sexual assault of two girls. David Davies was apprehended in 2021 following a referral to the police regarding historical sexual offences by one of his victims.
The police conducted an inquiry that subsequently resulted in their communication with a second victim, who described analogous mistreatment. David Davies was indicted on charges including rape, sexual assault, and inducing a minor to participate in sexual behaviour.
He was found guilty of several charges after a trial at Canterbury Crown Court and received his sentence on Friday, December 20. David Davies, aged 46, was sentenced to 21 years in prison and mandated to serve an additional three years on license thereafter.
He will also be placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely to protect the public following his release. Investigating officer Detective Constable Holly Hill said: “David Davies targeted vulnerable girls and manipulated them in an attempt to prevent them from reporting his terrible crimes.
“I would like to praise the victims’ courage in coming forward and supporting this prosecution. The resulting jail term will protect the public from David Davies for a significant amount of time.
“I urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual offences, whether recently or in the past, to report them to police right away. We will take action to hold abusers like Davies to account.”
