David Walls, the Hartlepool Paedophile, convicted of sexual offences who previously attempted to arrange a meeting with a minor for sexual purposes has been brought back to court for violating a court order.

David Walls, aged 43, received a 28-month prison term at Teesside Crown Court on Tuesday. This was a result of his admission of guilt to three charges of violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

According to Prosecutor Jenny Haigh, David Walls is a documented sex offender. On March 15, 2017, he was found guilty of grooming a girl and trying to arrange a meeting with her. According to her, they engaged in online conversation, and he proposed giving her cigarettes and arranging a meeting for sexual activities.

Nevertheless, Ms Haigh stated that the girl abstained from attending the gathering because she knew it was morally incorrect. After being convicted, the defendant was obligated to adhere to notification obligations, but violated them in July.

The court was informed that the police had acquired a warrant and visited his residential address. However, it became evident that he had not been residing at that location. Subsequently, law enforcement personnel proceeded to the residence of his sibling and captured Walls following his attempt to escape.

According to Ms Haigh, his phone was subsequently subjected to a search. She stated: “It was evident that the accused had utilised the laptop and iPad at his sibling’s residence. He had been residing there.

According to the prosecution, the search uncovered evidence that he had used pseudonyms to use Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook. According to her statement, the defendant has six convictions for 16 offences and has previously violated the order.

However, in a mitigating circumstance, the court was informed that David Walls acknowledged his guilt for the charges and “now realises, in retrospect, that he must alter his conduct.”

David Walls, guilty on all charges, from Rugby Street in Hartlepool has been sentenced to 28 months in prison.
