A Newcastle Paedophile predator, David Wilkinson, who regarded his young victim as a “piece of meat” has received a 19-year prison sentence for sexual offences.
David Wilkinson perpetrated heinous sexual abuse and rape against the youngster.
The 55-year-old would manipulate the child by providing booze, purchasing gifts, and arranging outings.
This abuse resulted in significant mental health challenges for the victim later in life.
On Friday, David Wilkinson appeared at Newcastle Crown Court to receive his sentence for rape and sexual assault, including offences against a child under 13. He was convicted following a trial.
The now-adult victim disclosed that their life had ‘spiralled’ out of control following the assault, articulating a persistent sense of vulnerability and “profound anger” stemming from David Wilkinson’s acts.
David Wilkinson, from Wood Grove, Newcastle, received a 20-year extended sentence for his offences, with the initial 19 years to be served in prison.
