Blaengwynfi Paedophile from Neath Port Talbot, Dean Hanford, has been incarcerated after admitting to the creation and distribution of obscene photos of minors.
After an inquiry conducted by the South Wales Police Online Investigation Team (POLIT), 23-year-old Dean Hanford, from Blaengwynfi, made an uncommon confession through his attorney in court regarding his sexual attraction to youngsters.
Evidence obtained during a warrant at Dean Hanford’s residence in 2023 indicated that he had been accepting payments from individuals online in exchange for child pornography recordings.
Dean Hanford has received a sentence of 28 months’ imprisonment.
Dean Hanford will be a registered sex offender for the next decade and will also be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same duration.
Detective Sergeant Chris Cole said:
“The fact that Dean Hanford has admitted to being a paedophile in court is extraordinary and shows what a warped individual he is.
“Dean Hanford has no moral compass whatsoever, and even tried to use the excuse that he was selling the images to support his mother, who was out of work.
“The only place for a person who has committed these kinds of offences is prison.
