A convicted former Catholic priest and Martlesham Paedophile, Dennis Finbow, acknowledged additional child abuse charges originating from the 1970s.

Dennis Finbow, 77, is incarcerated following his conviction in 2023 for the sexual abuse of a minor while his employment in Peterborough.

On Monday at the city’s crown court, he confessed to 15 indecent attacks against two boys and three females, primarily under the age of 16, occurring between 1975 and 1992.

He is scheduled to be punished for the supplementary offences on 15 September.

Dennis Finbow, previously residing in Martlesham in Ipswich, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison in March 2023 for inappropriately touching a girl while she was in bed.

The court was told that when he was voluntarily interviewed, the defendant described the allegations “as nonsense and a fabrication”.

The Diocese of East Anglia said Dennis Finbow, who had also served in St Neots in Cambridgeshire, had retired and not been in active ministry since 2001.

Dennis Finbow has since been stripped of his clerical status.

His sentencing was adjourned for statements from his victims to be prepared.
