Court documents indicate that in 2022 and 2023, Dennis Stopar, residing in Flushing, Belmont County, sexually molested a minimum of nine minors, both male and female, and produced hundreds of films and photographs depicting the abuse. Authorities indicate that the majority of the victims were in the foster care of a relative of Stopar’s.

The attorney’s office stated that in December 2023, police were examining a CyberTip submitted to the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children concerning child pornography uploaded to a Dropbox account associated with an address in Belmont County.
The inquiry directed law enforcement to Dennis Stopar, a previously convicted sex offender, who was found in possession of child pornography at a site corresponding to the reported IP address.
A federal search order revealed the recording of a minimum of seven sexual assault victims to whom he had access, along with 160 photos and 12 films. Dennis Stopar’s previous sexual offence is a 1995 rape conviction from Summit County for the sexual abuse of a girl aged between 6 and 16 years. He received a minimum sentence of 14 years and a maximum of 40 years for rape and child endangerment.
