A former hospital specialist and Whiston Paedophile, Dr Matthew Isles, has been arraigned in court on charges of voyeurism, seeking to entice a teenage girl into sexual conduct, and producing indecent photos of minors.
Dr. Matthew Isles, once an ear, nose, and throat specialist, confirmed his personal information during a succinct hearing at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Wednesday, following his arrest in February of this year.
The 53-year-old, Dr Matthew Isles, from Whiston, near Cheadle, Staffordshire, was not required to make any pleas at his lawyer’s request and was given conditional release to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on June 16.
The hearing revealed that Dr Matthew Isles, an employee at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in Stafford, faces 13 fresh accusations that will be consolidated with existing allegations now under consideration at the Crown Court.
The most recent charges, presented in court by the magistrates’ clerk, involve an allegation of attempting to induce a 15-year-old girl to participate in sexual conduct.
Clad in a dark suit and a blue striped tie, Dr Matthew Isles appeared before three magistrates, facing additional charges of possessing extreme pornographic images depicting sexual acts involving a person and live animals, three counts of distributing indecent images of children through messaging applications, and one count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor.
Magistrates were told the former medic is also charged with observing a person doing a private act in 2023 for sexual gratification by recording them without consent, three counts of making indecent images of a child, one of possessing prohibited images of a child, and one of possessing extreme pornographic images “portraying an act likely to result in serious injury to person’s private parts”.
The remaining new charge faced by Dr Matthew Isles alleges that he was in possession of a “paedophile manual movie” in February this year at Whiston “which contained advice or guidance” about sexual abuse.
The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) said in February that it was fully co-operating with the police in their investigation but it could not comment on an active criminal case.
The Trust has since confirmed that Dr Matthew Isles is no longer one of its employees.
