As part of the Metropolitan Police’s continuous dedication to investigating child abuse and safeguarding women and children from harm, a prolific child abuser and rapist, Dulon Miah London Paedophile has been imprisoned.
On Wednesday, July 10, Dulon Miah, 35 (08.09.88) of Tower Hamlets, received a 20-year sentence at Snaresbrook Crown Court. Miah was formerly found guilty at the same court in April of 18 charges of sexual assault over 14 years against two victims, including rapes.
Following one of Dulon Miah’s victims bravely coming forward and informing police they had been mistreated from the age of six years old over a decade, met officials started looking at Dulon Miah in 2022. Dulon Miah knew both female victims.
Leading the inquiry, Detective Constable Lucy Bowman said: “We consider cases like this tremendously seriously and are happy that we have obtained justice for these victim-survivors while putting one more dangerous predator behind bars.
“The Met assumes great responsibility for safeguarding women and girls.
“We urge everyone who has been a victim of abuse – no matter how long ago – to please come forward to police and get the support you rightly deserve.”
Officer efforts resulted in a second victim stepping forward to disclose that Dulon Miah had also mistreated them over many years.
As they conducted lengthy interviews with the victims, Met officials showed sympathy and care across both enquiries. To prove the degree of the mistreatment and create a strong case against Miah, the police also compiled comprehensive medical data.
