The Pedophile, Eleanor Hunton Hoppe, 46, of Charlottesville, Virginia, was sentenced to 135 months of incarceration for the distribution of child pornography in a scheme to sexually exploit an eight-year-old girl.
The statement was delivered by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro of the District of Columbia, FBI Acting Special Agent in Charge Emily Odom of the Washington Field Office, and Chief Pamela A. Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department.
On April 24, 2024, Eleanor Hunton Hoppe entered a guilty plea to a single count of distributing child pornography before U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras. Hoppe’s plea deal stipulates a jail sentence of 135 months and 10 years of supervised release. Furthermore, she will be required to register as a sex offender for a minimum duration of 25 years.
Court filings indicate that in late February 2023, an undercover law enforcement officer engaged with Eleanor Hunton Hoppe on a social media platform dedicated to discussions of sexual interests in minors and the exchange of child sexual abuse material. Eleanor Hunton Hoppe disseminated photographs of child pornography to the undercover cop and consistently articulated a desire to sexually exploit his alleged 8-year-old daughter.
On March 16, 2023, Eleanor Hunton Hoppe coordinated for the undercover cop to transport his daughter from Washington, D.C., to a motel in Warrenton, Virginia, where she would be subjected to sexual assault. Law enforcement apprehended Hoppe upon her arrival at the motel.
This case was investigated by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, and the FBI’s Washington Field Office.
It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Caroline Burrell and Rachel Forman.
