Eventually, authorities apprehended the duo of Italian citizens, Ferdinando Orlando and Lorenzo Costanzo, who fled justice for more than a year following the attack back to their nation.
CCTV from inside the Argyle Street club revealed that their victim was intoxicated and unstable on her feet throughout the horrible attack.
About two in the morning, Ferdinando Orlando and Lorenzo Costanzo went to her on the dance floor and began kissing her before dragging her into the maintenance room and raping her.
Sixteen minutes later, all three left the quiet room, and the victim was taken to the female restrooms.
Ferdinando Orlando and Lorenzo Costanzo then departed the nightclub, where video showed them high-fiving one another before displaying one another something on a cell phone.
The woman added in a victim impact statement: “There have been enormous hardships over the past two years for me, and I regularly relive the few pieces I can recall from that night.
“It has profoundly changed my life in ways I never would have imagined.
“No one should feel as though they are not comfortable simply out having fun with friends.
“I pray that any other victims of similar horrific atrocities now feel more comfortable reporting.
“I hope to feel proud of myself for staying so strong one day instead of like a victim.”
Following a trial, Ferdinando Orlando and Lorenzo Costanzo were found guilty of two counts of rape and imprisoned Friday, November 22, 2019, for seven-and-a-half years apiece at Isleworth Crown Court.
