An inquiry has been initiated following the sexual assault of an adolescent in a park located in Fife. Authorities were informed of a “severe sexual assault” involving an 18-year-old female on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the Volunteers Green vicinity of Kirkcaldy around 10:30 PM and 11:45 PM.

Police stated that investigations regarding the event are now in progress.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An investigation is underway after police received a report of a serious sexual assault on an 18-year-old woman in the Volunteers Green area of Kirkcaldy.

“The incident occurred between 10.30 and 11.45 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

Although Scotland Police have not asked for help, we know they need it. So please get in touch with them if you need any information.
