A convicted child rapist, Frantisek Mirga Newport Paedophile, caused severe emotional distress to his young victim, leaving her feeling deeply unhappy, emotionally devastated, and utterly shattered. The incident took place at the victim’s own residence.
Frantisek Mirga, aged 39 and residing at Corporation Road, Newport, was presented at Cardiff Crown Court today to receive a sentence.
He was found guilty of sexually assaulting a girl who was younger than 16 years old.
The incident occurred on November 13, 2022.
Frantisek Mirga, a native of Czechia, consumed vodka and was provided lodging at a friend’s residence due to his inability to operate a vehicle.
He resided in the main room of the house.
Upon the victim, who was 15 years old at the time, descending the stairs to quench her thirst, Mirga extended an invitation for her to enter the living room, where he proceeded to commit the act of rape.
The court received two victim impact statements that provided a detailed account of the distressing consequences of Frantisek Mirga’s acts on the young girl.
The initial communication, dated February 24, stated: “I am experiencing a state of apprehension and anxiety.” I am deeply frightened about the impending events. I have a lack of trust in all individuals of the male gender. I am experiencing profound embarrassment.
“I am not in my usual state of being.” The current situation has undergone significant changes. One day, I may feel well, but suddenly, I become overwhelmed by various concerns, and pessimistic thoughts invade my mind.
“I experience daily bouts of crying.” When I am by myself, I enter a state of absent-mindedness. I am experiencing profound feelings of sadness, inner conflict, and emotional distress. I am experiencing a lack of strength.
The victim reported experiencing recurring episodes of traumatic memories.
“Sadness prevails,” she stated.
“Each day is a distressing experience.” I no longer identify with my previous self.
In a subsequent impact statement, dated June 3rd, it was elucidated that the victim of Mirga is utterly devoid of any means to deal with the situation.
She expressed experiencing intense feelings of rage and grief and described waking up with distressing recollections that cause her great fear.

“You had previously transmitted inappropriate messages.”
“You were aware that your victim was 15 years old, which is below the legal age of consent in the UK, which is 16.”
