Gary Ahearne, a Brighton Paedophile has been found guilty of not informing the police of his travel intentions. Gary Ahearne, a registered sex offender, was mandated to inform the police of his location as a stipulation of his sexual harm prevention order.
On May 17 of the previous year, Gary Ahearne journeyed from Luton Airport to Poland without informing the authorities of his planned itinerary.
The 43-year-old individual, Gary Ahearne, without a permanent residence, was subsequently charged with noncompliance with the notification obligations of the sex offenders registry.
Gary Ahearne pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to six months imprisonment at Lewes Crown Court on May 14.
PC Mat Wyatt said: “These conditions are put in place for a reason. They are designed to protect the public from harm and to prevent those individuals subject to the conditions from further offending.
“This case should serve as a reminder that these are severe offences which should not be taken lightly.”
