Gary Mulligan St Helens paedophile
Gary Mulligan St Helens paedophile

Gary Mulligan attempted to sexually assault a teenage girl, then asserting that she had initiated advances towards him.

He exploited and sexually abused his incapacitated victim while she was intoxicated.

Liverpool Crown Court was informed that Gary Mulligan approached the act of rape as closely as possible, without committing it.

However, the timorous paedophile predator subsequently implied that he had rebuffed the child’s attempts.

Gary Mulligan, 51, of Riddell Way, Juniper Grove, St Helens, preyed upon the girl one evening in 2005.

A jury unanimously convicted him of attempted rape, inducing a minor to view an image of sexual conduct, two counts of sexual assault, and two charges of assault by penetration.

Gary Mulligan was incarcerated for eleven and a half years.
