A former Norwich junior school paedophile teaching assistant, Geddes Abbott, has been incarcerated for sexual offences against a minor.
Geddes Abbott, 34, of no permanent residence, confessed to seven charges, including the assault of a girl under 13 and the instigation of a youngster to participate in sexual behaviour.
Geddes Abbott received a sentence of 10 years and eight weeks in prison at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday.
Geddes Abbott had once been employed at George White Junior School in Norwich, which expressed that it was “appalled and saddened,” clarifying that the acts were unrelated to any students or the institution.
The Inclusive Schools Trust stated: “We are disheartened that a former colleague could commit such egregious offences.”
At Inclusive Schools Trust, the safeguarding and promotion of children’s wellbeing is our utmost priority.
All appropriate recruitment and safeguarding procedures were adhered to prior to Geddes Abbott’s enrolment at the school.
