Police hearing a victim of a sex attack crying in a Central London park saved her from Gergo Brummel Woolwich Rapist. On April 20, 2018, Gergo Brummel, 33, set upon the woman in Green Park.
Piccadilly patrol officers saw the victim screaming from within the park and hurried to help her.
Gergo Brummel and the woman they discovered were battling; the latter claimed she had been taken from behind and sexually raped. She had fought Brummel off before the fight started.
Officers scouring the area discovered a condom; it was sent for forensic analysis and revealed Gergo Brummel’s DNA on it.
Found guilty of sexual assault was Gergo Brummel, of Crescent Road, Woolwich.
March 5, 2019, saw his 18-month sentence at Inner London Crown Court.
For violating a restraining order in connection with a different incident, the sex offender also received a 20-week term.
The judge mandated the consecutive running of the sentences.
