German Police child sex appeal

A 24-year-old guy has been apprehended following law enforcement’s unprecedented action of identifying a child sex abuse victim being exploited on the infamous ‘dark web’.

The German police released images of a four-year-old girl included in a distressing sexual abuse video in an effort to rescue her from the abuser.

The suspect was apprehended on Monday evening in the northern county of Wesermarsch, Lower Saxony. The Associated Press reported that he is a close associate of the victim, and his flat was searched, resulting in the seizure of evidence.

Video evidence of the abuse was found on a platform within the infamous ‘dark web’—an encrypted segment of the internet where users are ostensibly untraceable.

According to a Federal Criminal Police Office statement, investigators say the abuse took place during the period of October 2016 – July 2017 in Germany.
