Giles Croucher, an Ipswich Paedophile, apprehended while attempting to meet a minor girl for sexual purposes has been sentenced to nine years and six months in prison.
Law enforcement officials who apprehended Giles Croucher, of Grove Lane, Ipswich, last June, discovered three white lace thongs, condoms, and two mobile phones in his vehicle.
During his trial, Ipswich Crown Court was informed that Giles Croucher asserted he was en route to “expose” and “confront” undercover police officers acting as a youngster online.
A jury convicted him in December 2024 of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and attempting to induce a 14-year-old girl to participate in sexual conduct..
Giles Croucher, aged 49 at the time of his arrest, was convicted at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday, placed on the sex offender registry permanently, and paid a surcharge of £228.
